AthleticsStudents can tryout for the Teen Center Sports League in which Colina competes with other middle schools. Sports in this league include boys and girls teams for Basketball, Soccer, and Volleyball. Tryout information will be shared via announcements and weekly emails to parents. In addition to the Teen Center Sports League, there are many Lunchtime Activities (LTAs) for a variety of sports in which all students can participate. Students also rotate through different sports in PE classes. Boys & Girls ClubThe Boys and Girls Club on the Colina campus is a great resource for students who may need before or after school care. Students can also eat lunch and play games at the Boys and Girls Club during lunch. Homework help and enrichment classes are offered after school. ActivitiesASB and WEB host a variety of Lunchtime Activities (LTAs) throughout the year. Announcements are made about these opportunities. All students are welcome to participate and/or attend.
Spirit rallies and assemblies are held throughout the year for all students with 80 points or above. Class of the Year (COTY) competitions, Carnivals, Luaus, Socials and other fun events are held throughout the year, as well. GATE activities are held throughout the year for all students, with space priority given to students with GATE identification. More information about GATE can be found here. ASB & WEBStudents in ASB and WEB are leaders on campus who help other students, plan activities, and provide support at school events. ASB is available by application in 7th and 8th grade. WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs and is a program designed for trained 8th grade student leaders to help support new and younger students. WEB leaders provide mentorship, tutoring, and host WEB Club that is open to all student every day at lunch. During WEB Club students play games, watch movies, and more.
